Isuzu D-Max / MU-X 3.0D 4JJ1 RHV5 - Stage 2 Performance Turbocharger
Isuzu D-Max / MU-X 3.0D 4JJ1 RHV5 - Stage 2 Performance Turbocharger
The latest revision IHI RHV5, for the Isuzu D-Max / MU-X 3.0D 4JJ1 motor, is used as the starting point. The compressor wheel is upgraded to a 46/62mm German engineered high performance billet compressor wheel, with state of the art geometry and ultra lightweight design. The compressor housing is then machined to H7 ISO standards to ensure absolute perfect bore tolerance. In addition, the variable geometry control is adjusted to allow 15% more exhaust gas flow for a reduction in lag and smoother boost.
Reliability
Precisely balancing Aus Dyno turbochargers is a key critical factor to ensure unit longevity and performance. Good balance not only drastically improves reliability but also improves smoothness and acoustics. The difference between a stock unit and an Aus Dyno turbocharger is instantly noticeable. Great care is taken to consistently meet our stringent balancing standards for all turbos we sell. Firstly, parts are balanced at slow speeds in multiple planes using a CNC machine. Components are then assembled and dynamically balanced, this time maxing out the Cimat VSR48 Big Twin machine to speeds well over 150,000 RPM. This achieves the ultimate reliability, and acquires a standard far beyond OEM.

Part Numbers
When fitting this turbo, it is HIGHLY recommended to seek professional tuning.
Zero-ing turbo gain maps will allow you to tune the VGT duty map in open loop. This is required to account for the drastic increase in turbo efficiency. Some tuners have recommended to leave the computer in open loop to prevent transient boost spiking and turbo failure due to boost leaks over speeding the turbo.
Do not exceed (pressure side) Exhaust Manifold Temperatures (EGTs) above 800c.
The performance of this turbo exceeds the stock injector capacity. It is not recommended to excessively increase injection duration in order to max out turbo efficiency.
This turbo is rated to 35 PSI. However, with upgraded injectors it is possible your tuner may see boost pressures as high as 40PSI.
